She married Wesley Bowen on May 25, 1963 at the United Methodist Church in Morris. Wesley predeceased Hilda on April 2, 2005.
Hilda was a member of the Exeter Center United Methodist Church and served as Treasurer for the Exeter Center Cemetery Association. She was a devoted wife, for more than forty years, to Wesley in their marriage, raising of their children and the farm.
