Anthony Virgil Grasham
Funeral services for Anthony "Tony/Sonny" Virgil Grasham, 65, of Temple will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Interment will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Grasham died Jan. 19, 2010.
He was born Aug. 7, 1944, in Eau Claire, Wis., to Virgil and Clara Grasham. He served in the U.S. Navy with two tours in Vietnam. He attended Killeen High School. He worked for many years with Mid Texas, Centel, Sprint, Telecom and then became an independent telephone contractor. He volunteered for the role of the neighborhood watchman and enjoyed the outdoors when he could be pulled away from his TV shopping.
Survivors include his son, Ronald Grasham and his wife, Shelly, of Lampasas; daughter, Mindy Lofland and her husband, Jason, of Purmela; sisters, Shirley Grasham of Killeen, Connie Cryer and her husband, Dennis, of Killeen, Sherry Lutz and her husband, Wayne, of Youngsport; brothers, Donald Grasham of Killeen, Robert Grasham of Goldthwaite; grandchildren, Trent, Austin, Victoria, Savannah, Trevor, Wyatt, Isaac, Brodie and Aidan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
