76, 311 E. Simmons St., Galesburg, died at 8:20 AM Friday, January 11, 2008 at home.
She was born February 9, 1931 in Rushville, IL, the daughter of Orba and Mamie Ambrosius Shores. She married Clifford L. Davis on December 13, 1947 in Rushville. He survives.
Also surviving is a son, Gary (and Connie) Davis, Monmouth, IL, son-in-law, George NcNeff, Macomb, IL, 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Davis, Moline, IL and Shawna (and Bill) White and 2 great grandchildren, Emma White and Aaron White, all of Colchester, IL, a sister, Edna Chord, Peoria, IL, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Paula Jean McNeff in March 2005, a brother, and 2 sisters.
She was a laborer at the former Gale Products Division of Outboard Marine Corporation for 6 years, at Protexall for 2 years, and was a salesperson and cashier at the former Arlan's Department Store for 4 years.
She was raised in rural Rushville moved to the Galesburg area in 1953. She lived in Florida for several years before moving back to Avon, IL, and then finally settling back in Galesburg. She attended Augusta High School. She was a member of the Federated Church of Avon (IL) and its Clayberg Circle. She was a member of the Abingdon (IL) American Legion Auxiliary. Patricia had also been a Cub Scout den mother.
Graveside service will be 12:30 PM Tuesday in Avon Cemetery, Avon, IL. The Pastor Charles Brown will officiate. Visitation will be 11 to 12 noon Tuesday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel.
