MISSOURI VALLEY - Services are being held at the Reorganized Latter Day Saints church at 2:30 p.m. Thursday for Albert Newton (Bert) Hickman, 70, of Little Sioux, who died Tuesday in a Council Bluffs hospital following injuries suffered when he was struck by a car Saturday evening.
Elder John Jensen will officiate. Burial will be in Calhoun cemetery.
Hickman was born Dec. 15, 1878, near Tabor. He formerly lived in the Loveland and Missouri Valley vicinity.
Survivors include a son, Virgil, River Sioux; three daughters, Mrs. Rex Brewer and Mrs. Waldo Swanger of Loveland and Mrs. Maurice Vore of Council Bluffs and 16 grandchildren.
Hardy funeral home is in charge.
