CLARKSVILLE ? Allen A. Scott, 84, died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at East Texas Medical Center.

Graveside services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Lew Stokes officiating. Clarksville Funeral Home is in charges of services.

Pallbearers include Mike McGuire, Floyd McGuire, Curtis Weemes, Jeff Freyer, Thurman Russell and Paul Allen.

Born Oct. 15, 1922 in Red River County, he was the son of Arch Scott and Mittie Stevens Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Modena Scott.

He was a member of McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church and the Men?s Bible Class. He also was a member of American Legion Post 45 and a lifetime Texas Farm Bureau member. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors are two sons, Bruce Scott and wive, Faye, of Avery and Roger Scott and wife, Jimmie, of Clarksville; a daughter, Carolyn Peek and husband, Carl, of Paris and a brother, Van Scott of Dallas, along with six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
