Philip Anthony Devery - a 50 year-old native and resident of Mobile passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Devery was employed as a mechanic at Bay City Tool and Repair for the past 20 years. He was preceded in death by his father, William Joseph Devery, and brother, William Henry Devery. Mr. Devery is survived by his mother, Bernadette Anlage Devery; sister, Loretta Marie Hackman (Thomas); brothers, Frederick Michael Devery (Gwendolyn), Edward Joseph Devery, and Lawrence Paul Devery (Nancy); his second family, Michael and Sheila Crim, Matthew Stringer, and Ruby Knox; his co-workers; and his friends at Blues Tavern. A memorial mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 9 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Catholic Cemetery.
