Robert Wesley Barngrover
Robert Wesley Barngrover, son of [William] Jackson and Sarah [Benson] Barngrover, was born at Hawleyville, Iowa, Dec. 1, 1861, and passed away at his home in Huntley, Nebr., May 4, 1938, at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 3 days. He was one of a family of five children, all having preceded him in death.
Feb. 7, 1886, he was united in marriage to Flora Ella Ewart. To them were born two children,
Glen J. Barngrover [Robert Glen] of Hornick, Iowa, and
[Harry] Gay Barngrover of Huntley, Nebr. Eight grandchildren also survive.
His wife passed away Feb. 17, 1894.
He was united in marriage to Ella Mae Houk Sept. 2, 1896.
To this union were born two daughters,
[Ruby] Rea, who passed away Oct. 24, 1932, and
Ella at home.
He accepted Christ as his Savior when a young man and was an active church worker during the remainder of his life.
When a small child he moved with his parents to a farm near Bedford, Iowa. Here he received his education and grew to manhood. In 1889 he moved to Nebraska where he had since made his home.
The funeral services were held at Huntley, Nebr., Thursday, May 5, conducted by Rev. Robert A. Jeffrey. Burial was in the Alma cemetery.
