ELKVILLE - Mrs. Freda H. Clutts, formerly of Granite City, died at 12:03 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010, at her home in Elkville.
She married Vernon Clutts on June 28, 1953, in Alto Pass; he preceded her in death July 6, 2000.
Freda is survived by one daughter, Marsha McLaughlin and her husband, Mac, of Granite City; one sister, Dorothy Brust and husband, Bernie, of Ullin; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Delores Schafer, Donna Stouthammer and Darla Bryant; and one brother, Clifford "Deion" Bryant.
Freda was a member of Elkville Christian Church and Order of the Eastern Star chapter 650 of Granite City. She was a supervisor at St. Elizabeth Medical Center for 10 years and previously served as a manager of Ray's Truck Plaza for 22 years. She loved her family and her church.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, in Alto Pass Cemetery, with Gary Pruitt officiating. Interment will be after the services. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
