MILLERSBURG Allen A. Baer, 70, of 558 Light St. died Thursday in Atlantic City (N.J.) Medical Center.
He was retired from the former Bay State Milling Co., Camp Hill; was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War; and was a member of Word of Light Chapel, Halifax; American Legion Post 326; VFW Post 5507; Reading base of the U.S. Submarine Veterans' Inc., United States L.S.T. Association of Oregon, Ohio; Fleet Reserve Association Branch 106 of Alexandria, Va.; and the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are two sons, the Rev. Robert A. and Tom S., and a daughter, Louise Erdman, all of Millersburg; a brother, Raymond "Mim" of Millersburg; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10: 30 a.m. Tuesday in his church. Burial, with military honors, will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hoover Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund of his church, 27 Fellowship Drive, Halifax 17032.
