Roy Shadle, 76, Dies In Chester
Roy Shadle, 76, died at 8:55 this morning at his home one-half mile east of Five Points in Chester Township. Death was attributed to coronary heart ailment. He had been ill one week.
The decedent was born April 16, 1877, in Wells County to James Byron and Berzetta Mason Shadle. His marriage to Bessie Spaulding took place Dec. 11, 1897 at Five Points.
Mr. Shadle was a retired clerk and a member of the Montpelier Masonic Lodge No. 600.
Survivors include the wife, a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice M. Smith and a son, Charles L. Shadle, both of Marion. One grandson and three great-grandchildren also survive.
The body was removed to the Walker Funeral Home at Montpelier where friends may call afternoon Friday.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the funeral home with Rev. Earl Imler officiating. The Masonic Lodge will have charge of services. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Montpelier.
