He was born March 15, 1918 in St. Andrews, Indiana, the son of George Danforth and Luella (Raiford) Danforth.
On may 27, 1945, he married Esther m. (Moyd) Danforth and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters - Theresa Pickett and husband, Jim, Peru, and Floreen McKinley and husband, Greg, Washington; 2 sons - Frederick A. Danforth, Jr. and wife, Brenda, Pontotoc, MS, and Bruce Danforth and wife, Laura, Bloomingdale; 2 sisters - Alice Tevault, Indianapolis, and Rosie Deckard, Indianapolis; a brother - Dick Danforth and wife, Carolyn, Indianapolis; 2 foster sisters - Margaret Hull and husband, Hank, Carmel and Joan Bremman, texas; and 8 grandchildren.
He was preceded iin death by his parents - George and Luella Danforth; 2 sisters - Helen Richards and Anna Lou Manley; and 2 brothers Carl Danforth and Tommy Danforth.
Mr Danforth was owner/operator of Danforth Logging.
He was a member of American Legion Post #2, Brazil; 1939 graduate of Carmel High School; and attended DePauw University for 2 years.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, during WWII.
Graveside services were held on Monday, October 16, at 3:30 p.m. at Fertig Cemetery, where interment was made. Pastor Richard Hall officiated.
Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, was in charge of arrangements.
