When Nancy Ann "Tensie" Steele was born on November 8, 1873, in Tellico Plains, Monroe, Tennessee, her father, William "Will" Steele, was 28 and her mother, Martha Ann "Eliza" Wilmoth, was 28. She had two sons, Zeb and Jack, and two daughters, Lorena and Ethel, with James Alexander "Jim" Vance between 1894 and 1910. She died on April 28, 1949, in Weatherford, Parker, Texas, at the age of 75, and was buried in Garner, Texas in the Bethesda Cemetery

I never met my great grandmother but I knew her husband, Grand daddy Vance. I bet she had a fun life with him.RIP
