She is survived by four children, including Judy Cole Coffey of Denton; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
When she and Wesley F. Breiten were married in 1938, Annie left her family home in Center Point and moved to Hondo. She was, first and foremost a devoted mother, an assistant in her husband's business, and a member of First Baptist Church.
She was born near Pearsall Jan. 25, 1918, a daughter of Louis Andrew and Mamie Frances (Cathcart) Smith.
Her husband Wesley was killed in an auto accident in 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings, L. A., George Daniel, Marshall Scott, Grady Norris, Brady, Austin, Clinton, Nell, and Hauty Smith.
Her lifelong friend, Polly Bishop, died last year. The two gigglers outlived all their classmates by many years.
Funeral services were held Monday, Apr. 30, 2007 at 10 a.m., at First Baptist Church, Hondo. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
