"Obituary: Clarence E. Nigh -- Clarence E. Nigh, 82, Plainfield, died June 29 at St. Michaels hospital, Stevens Point, where he was a patient for the past month. He had been in ill health for several months.
Mr. Nigh was born June 5, 1885, in the town of Pine Grove. Portage County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Nigh. He farmed in the Plainfield-Bancroft area.
His marriage to the former Ella M. Roberts took place in Stevens Point, Oct. 10, 1911.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, William G., two brothers and four sisters and parents.
Surviving are three sons, Clarence Emerson, Hancock; Henry Helmus, Plainfield; Emery E., Arpin; three daughters, Mrs. Pansy Alder, Sugar Tree, Tenn.; Mrs. Clifford (Effie) Banks, Plainfield; and Mrs. Vila Mohr, Stevens Point; a sister Mrs. Nora Gardner, Rhinelander; two brothers, George Sr., Bancroft; and Lewis, Plainfield; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held July 3 at the Baptist church in Plainfield with Rev. Mary Murray officiating. Burial was in the Plainfield cemetery."
