John Wilkins, age 75, died August 12, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born March 27, 1923 in Riverside, Utah, son of Asahel Kenneth and Irean Jamima Cottam Wilkins. Married Alice Bowman May 27, 1943, later solemnized in Salt Lake Temple, later divorced. Married Anafae Schaefer September 27, 1992 at Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Active member of the LDS Church. Veteran of World War II, served the US Air Corps. He was a farmer, carpenter and mechanic and retired as a welder and yard manager from Young Electric Sign Company after 22 1/2 years of service.
Survived by wife, Anafae; children, Jacqueline W. Weimer, Murray; Judy Ann (Wesley Jay) Ford, Manassas Park, VA; Larraine (Edwin A.) Wilde, Surgarhouse; Christine W. (Mark L.) Yowell, West Jordan; Vickie Lee (Dean Ray) Ricks, West Valley City; step-child, Penny K. Cerny, Mascoutah IL; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd Kenneth Wilkins, West Valley City; DeLoy Wilkins, California; aunt, Mae Morris VanLeeuwen; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sister; Jessie Irene Cottle; brothers, Junior Asahel and Billy "C" Wilkins.
Interment, Malad City Cemetery.
