DEATH OF FORMER MACON COUNTY CITIZEN
DAWSON, GA. - July 20, Funeral services of the late Allen W. English were held at the family residence on Stonewall Street at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon and interment took place in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. English was born in Macon County, near Oglethorpe in 1857, and moved to Dawson in 1897, where he has been held in high esteem by his many friends and acquaintances. The deceased had been in feeble health several years and was confined to his bed several weeks prior to his death late Wednesday night.
He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Arch A. Lewis, Mrs. Jane M. Lewis, Mrs. W. S. Wright, Mrs. Mary McLendon, Mrs. Berthia Denton and Miss Sarah English, and two sons, Dan S. English and Frank English, all of Dawson.
