Viola is my 3rd-great-grandmother. Only known child of Nelson H. PECK and Lura Ann JACKSON. Step-daughter of John CRAPSEY. Wife of Charles H. ROBBINS. Mother of William "Willie" W., Burton Wallace, Edwin Warren, Emma, Angelo Merrick, and Arthur A. ROBBINS. She died in Hesperia, Michigan, which lies on the Newaygo-Oceana County border. Her home in 1910 was on the Newaygo County side of the border, so that is probably where she died.

Her obituary was titled "Beloved Hesperia Pioneer Mourned; Mrs. Charles Robbins Won Love of Indians Before Place Was Settled". Read it here.
