Elizabeth Gipson Wills

Elizabeth Wills died at her residence in Washington township at 4 o'clock p.m., June 25, 1905, aged 67 years, 2 months, and 23 days. The cause of her death was neuralgia of the stomach. She was sick but a few hours before her death. She was born in Boone county, April 2, 1838. Her marriage to the late James Wills occurred on February 23, 1854, near Thorntown. He died Dec. 29, 1893.

The following children were born: Jasper, Jacob, John, Frank, Charles, Edgar, Merl and Hall, Lillie Graham, Clemma Caldwell, Ethel Beck, and Mary, who is deceased.
Mrs. Wills also leaves a sister, Melvina Hinton, living near Thorntown, who is 82 years old. All of the children were present at the time of her death except Jasper and John, who are in the far west. The funeral services were conducted June 27 at 2 o'clock p.m. at Bethel church by Rev. Banta. Burial at Bethel cemetery.
