Son of Dolphus Richard Stephens and Esta Louise Stephens.

Herbert R. Stephens Obituary:

Herbert R. Stephens of Apple Valley, 73, died of heart failure at St. Mary Desert Valley Hospital in Apple Valley on July 16, 1994.

Born in Springfield, Oregon, he lived in Apple Valley for two of his seventy years in California. He was in sales with the Pacific Coast Resource Company for ten years, and was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Stephens is survived by his wife, Betty, of Apple Valley; children Candis Phillips, Brian Stephens, and Gary Stephens; sister Louise Vang, and six grandchildren.

Services were held at Jess Ranch Community Church in Apple Valley with the Rev. Frank Fahnestock officiating. Burial is in Riverside National Cemetery. Victor Valley Mortuary in Victorville made the arrangements.
