Susie died peacefully with her family by her side at St. David's Hospital on July 24, 2006. She was preceded in death by her father, Lt. Col. William James Cashman and mother Myra Mae Cashman of Ft. Worth, TX.
Susie's two greatest days in her life were the adoption of daughter Kaitlan and giving birth to daughter Kelsey.

Susie was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1950 where her father was stationed with the US Air Force. She was the first American child born in the new independent state of Israel. Susie lived and traveled many places while her dad was in the service, attending Balboa High School in the Panama Canal Zone. She made many good friends among her classmates in Balboa, and has had numerous reunions with the "Panama Divas", as she called them. They will surely miss her and loved her very much. After another move, Susie graduated from Groveton High School in Alexandria, VA.

Susie started her professional career in the dental field. After attending school in San Antonio, she worked for many years in Austin as a dental assistant. In 1984 she was employed by Austin Oral Surgery & Associates, eventually becoming a board certified Surgical Technologist. She left AOS in 1999 to spend more time at home with her daughters. Until December 2005, she was a substitute teacher for the Pflugerville ISD. During her illness, she truly missed all of her peers and especially all the students. Susie also was a former CCD teacher at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church.
Surviving her is her husband of 21 years, Lee J. Hello; daughters, Kaitlan, 15, and Kelsey, 13; sister, Mary Catherine Piorkowski of Wethersfield, CT; brothers, William Cashman, Jr., and wife Lynette of Keller, TX; Richard Cashman and wife Lisa of Yorktown, VA; and Gary Cashman of Fort Worth, TX; plus numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, 22 nieces and nephews.

Susie's extended family wants to express their deepest gratitude to all of her care-givers over the past eight months at North Austin Medical Center, St. David's Hospital, especially the ICU and IMC, Cornerstone Specialty Hospital, and all of the technicians from Davita Dialysis Center. A very special thank you also to Dr. Lewis King. Susie's husband and daughters also wish to thank their extended family and friends for the love and support they have shown over the difficult eight months of Susie's illness. While she will be greatly missed, Susie is at last at peace and surely her Irish eyes are smiling on all who knew and loved her.

Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2006, in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 28, at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 1520 N. Railroad Ave. in Pflugerville, with Father George Joseph officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery. Immediately after the committal service, a luncheon will be held in the church hall of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church.

Pallbearers are Chris Hello, Mike Hello, Gary Hello, Joseph Hello, Albert Salazar, and Larry Damuth. Honorary pallbearers include Daniel Piorkowski, Christopher Hello and Lindsey Cashman.
