Information provided by a friend of Michael's:

Mike lived his entire childhood in Baton Rouge, LA.

I knew him when we were at LSU graduate school and he graduated from LSU with an MBA. Mike then got his JD at Fairfield University in Connecticut and lived in Connecticut until he passed away of undetected heart disease in 2007.

He was a wonderful person and I miss his friendship.

His family scattered his ashes in the ocean.

He was a very kind person!!

I was searching the internet for any news of an old friend of mine from whom I lost contact many years ago: Michael Rome. We went to high school and college together in Baton Rouge, and worked together for a short time afterwards for the State of Louisiana. Actually I don't have any questions for you...I guess I'm just expressing my shock and sadness that he has died. I moved away from Baton Rouge in 1980 and have lost track of most of my old school friends there.

Anyway, thanks for putting up the web memorial to him...otherwise I would have never found out about Michael.

With regards,

James Brantley
