Betty Jean Mazur, 71, of Richmond, died Tuesday August 30, 2011 at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit.
She was born September 16, 1939 in Romeo the daughter of the late Raymond and Lottie (Wolak) Polfiet.
Her marriage to Stanley Mazur was February 20, 1978 in Clawson.
Betty was a lifelong homemaker, enjoyed gardening and was a parishioner of Holy Family Parish, Memphis.
Surviving in addition to her husband Stanley of 33 years are a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Kathy Pietrykowski of Columbus Township, three step-sons, Jeff Mazur of Richmond, Thomas (Tammy) Mazur of Mt. Clemens and Joseph (Jennifer) Mazur of Tonopah, AZ; eight grandchildren, three great-granddaughters; sister Shirley and brother Donald and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister Virginia.
Her family honors the memory of Betty and invites you to visit and share memories Friday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond, with rosary devotion at 6:30 p.m.
Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Parish, Memphis with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Fr. Joseph Horn, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Philip Neri Cemetery, Columbus Township.
