Donald L. McIntosh of Denver, a retired teacher, died June 1 at home. He was 72.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Evans Chapel on the University of Denver campus.
McIntosh was born April 1, 1922.
He graduated from South High School and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver. He taught math at North High School and retired in 1982. McIntosh did post graduate work in math at Oxford University, England, and the University of Colorado.
He taught Fulbright Teacher Exchanges in England and Turkey.
McIntosh was a member of and held positions with the Federation of Teachers and the Denver Teachers Club. He enjoyed theater, traveling and antique collecting. He square danced as a Rebel Ranger at South High and a Pioneer Promenader at DU.
Recently, McIntosh raised funds toward improving Cheesman Park and he chaired a committee of South High Alumni which pursued historic designation for the school building.
He is survived by his sister, Ruth McIntosh Jeffs.
