Gary Hurd (1946 - 2010)

Gary Carson Hurd of Parma passed away Feb. 28,2010, of natural causes after a great day of fishing. He didn't catch the most, but he caught the biggest one!
A memorial will be held at Recalde Hall in Parma , today, at 1 p.m. Everyone is invited to join the family for a potluck lunch.
Gary was born Aug. 28, 1946, in Emmett. His family moved to Parma in 1954. Gary is survived by a wife Elaine Hurd, four children - Steve Hurd, Shanna Grim, Shea Hurd, and Dale Hurd; four stepchildren - Freddy Payne, Lynette Barthel, Noel Payne, and Nikki Johnson; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and his best friend Stubby.
Gary knew no strangers, and made friends everywhere he went. He loved animals and had a heart of gold.. He was always there to lend a hand to friends and family.
His pocket were always full of candy and he loved to share. His presence in front of the M & W with Stubby hanging out the window of the old Isuzu will be missed.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up at US Bank in Parma.
