Daughter of Henry and Augusta (Schleisig) Spannaus.
I recently was doing some research for a friend regarding her mother, Jacqueline Meyer Chakoian. While doing that research I found that there were 3 separate memorials for the mother of Jackie - Hedwig A. "Hattie" Spannaus Meyer Linss.
Hattie married Justus Meyer in 1897 and had three children with him. He left the family sometime in the early 1900s and she raised the three children on her own, with the help of her parents.
In 1920, she married a widower Oscar Linss, but he lived only 7 years following the marriage. He is not buried with her. She never had any children with him.
Mrs. Linss was one of 72 residents who perished in a fire at the Katie Jane Nursing Home in Warrenton, Missouri
