CLINTON- Doris I. Harris, age 91, of Clinton, passed away at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington at 9 a.m. on Feb. 5, 2009.
Visitation and funeral services are pending with Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. J. Kent Hickerson will officiate. Interment will follow services at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton.
Doris was born in Birnie, Mo. on June 3, 1917 a daughter of Fred and Margaret Esry Freeman. She married Harold "Pete" Harris on April 2, 1949 in Clinton. He passed away December 1989.
Survivors include: children, Walt Clark, of Dallas, Tex.; Mary Ann (Charles) Hedrick, of Florida; Allen (Cecilia) Harris, of Florida; Linda Hagerman, of Sun Prairie, Wisc.; Raymond (Shirley) Harris of Shelbina, Mo.; Ruth Ahlers-Kahn(Phil Kahn) of Clinton; and Donna Harris of Creve Coeur, Ill.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Cheryl Southwick, Becky Withers, Charlie Clark, Jeff Clark, David Minor, Rita Minor, Marilyn Glassgow, Mercy Harris, Matt Hagerman, Mike Hagerman, Jennifer Watts, Nikki Ahlers and Ricky Ahlers; sister, Midge Mioduski, of Tucson, Ariz.; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one great-great-great-grandchild.
Her parents, husband, and brother Gerald Freeman preceded her in death.
Doris was a retired employee of Illinois Central Gulf Rail Road. Former member of Young at Heart and Dorcas Society of the church. She was also a Project Read volunteer and member of the John Warner Hospital Auxiliary.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, Clinton.
