DECATUR SEMI WEEKLY HERALD JUNE 1904

THE REMAINS OF THE LATE MRS. MARTHA T. EYMAN WHO DIED RECENTLY IN SEATTLE WASH., WILL ARRIVE IN DECATUR THIS AFTERNOON ON THE CHICAGO TRAIN. THE BODY WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE WEST BOUND TRAIN AND WILL LEAVE HERE AT 4:22 FOR HARRISTOWN WHERE THE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD IMMEDIATELY FROM THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH. THE BURIAL WILL BE AT THE HARRISTOWN CEMETERY. GEORGE H. WALKER, A SON IN LAW ACCOMPANIED THE BODY FROM SEATTLE AND AT CHICAGO WAS JOINED BY HARRY EYMAN, A SON. MRS. J. A. DAVIDISON A DAUGHTER OF CHICAGO AND CHARLES EYMAN, A SON FROM PUEBLO, COLO, ARE ALREADY IN THE CITY TO ATTEND THE FUNERAL.
MRS. EYMANS MAIDEN NAME WAS MARTHA P. NESBITT AND SHE WAS BORN AT HARRISBURG, PA, DEC 5, 1936, DYING AT SEATTLE, WASH, JUNE 14, 1904, AGED 68 YEARS 6 MONTHS AND 5 DAYS. SHE CAME TO ILLINOIS WITH HER PARENTS WHEN A CHILD, ARRIVING HERE IN 1838 AND WAS THE SECOND OF ELEVEN CHILDREN. THE OLDEST SISTER,MRS. MARY MALLERY DIED AT ESBON KS, JUST A DAY BEFORE MRS. EYMAN. FIVE MEMBER OF THE FAMILY SURVIVE. THEY ARE MRS. JOHN WINDSOR OF COLUMBUS, OHIO, MRS. FRANK J. SPRINGER, OF SPRINGFILD, FRANK T. NESBITT OF KS, MISS ALICE NESBITT OF CHICAGO AND MRS. WILLIAM W. FISHER OF CHICAGO, MRS. EYMAN UNITED WITH THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH AT SPRINGFIELD WHEN ONLY SIXTEEN YEARS OF AGE AND HAD ALWAYS BEEN A CONSISTEN MEMBER OF THAT ORGANIZATION. SHE WAS MARRIED ON MARCH 20, 1861 TO I. O. EYMAN WHO DIED IN THIS CITY ON FEB 15, 1889. SHE WAS THE MOTHER OF SEVEN CHILDREN, HELEN DYING IN INFANCY AND IDA EYMAN BIXBY DYING JUNE 6, 1894. THE SURVIVING CHILDREN ARE MRS. J. A. DAVIDSON OF CHICAGO, MRS. GEORGE WALKER OF SEATTLE, LEWIS EDWARD EYMAN OF PUEBLO, CHARLES MCKEE EYMAN OF PUEBLO AND HARRY H. EYMAN OF CHICAGO. MRS. EYMAN CAME TO THIS CITY TO LIVE AUG 26, 1881 AND LIVED HERE UNTIL NOVEMBER 1901 WHEN SHE REMOVED TO SEATTLE TO MAKE HER HOME.
