Kenneth D. Channel, 75, Granby, entered into rest on July 4, 2013 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin following a lengthy illness. He was born August 12, 1937 in Cassville, MO to James Ray Channel and Grace Mable (Wilson) Channel.
Kenneth moved to Granby from Cassville in 1963 and worked as the Superintendent of Granby City for 28 years. He was a cattle farmer and also a backhoe operator. He enjoyed Fox hunting and loved spending time with his Grandchildren who called him "PaPa".
Kenneth married Mary ‘Sis' White on May 27, 1958 in Miami, OK and she survives. He is also survived by his children; Mary Ann Frerer of Carl Junction, MO, Brenda Lane of Granby, MO, Jim Channel of Granby, MO, Jake Channel of Granby, MO; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. Kenneth is preceded in death by his son, Thomas L. Channel on August 2, 2011 and his granddaughter Sissy Lane.
