George Scarlett's Son Meets Accidental Death

Jos. A. Scarlett received a telegram Monday from his brother, George Scarlett, Hagerman, Idaho, announcing the accidental death of the latter's six-year old son, John, Saturday night. The little fellow was run over by a truck and killed instantly.

American Revolution Descendant -- John Paul Scarlett is a 4th cousin, 2 generations distant, to Arthur Allen MOORE III via (John's Grandmother) Martha Jane MOORE SCARLETT to our Revolutionary War Vet: William (and Elizabeth) MOORE II who purchased 240 acres on Marrowbone Creek (Henry County, Virginia) from Peter LEAK in 1790. William MOORE II was a private in James Tarrant's Company, under command of Major George Waller, of Colonel Abram Penn's Regiment of the Henry County, Virginia, Militia in the American Revolution.
