Kenneth was the son of Nola Lee (Cravens) and Elzia Newton Bryant. He was the youngest of four children.

Accident Claims 17 Year Old Boy
Kenneth Bryant, 17, son of Elzia Bryant, Columbia, died Sunday, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, as a result of a motorcycle-mule accident. The accident occurred Wednesday on the Sano Road about ten miles from Columbia. "Buddy" Rooks, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rooks, who was on the mule, was uninjured. Kenneth died of internal injuries suffered in the accident which occurred about 12:00 p.m. In addition to his father, he is survived by two brothers, Tommy Bryant and Elic Walker Bryant, both of Louisville; and one sister, Mrs. Louise Tiller of Indianapolis, Indiana. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. yesterday, Tuesday, at Freedom Separate Baptist Church with Stotts & Phelps Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Rev J. O. Wolford officiated with burial in the Freedom Cemetery. Pallbearers were Alvis Floyd, Leon Huff, Joseph Conover, Jean Bryant, Houston Sullivan [should be Huston] and Eddy Rooks.
