Bill F. Barnes, 74, passed away on October 12, 2015 after a valiant battle with cancer. Bill was an avid archer, hunter, fisherman, musician, composer and singer. Spending time camping or in the outdoors were among his favorite things to do with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. Wild Bill's legacy is large and will be remembered by many.

Bill is survived by his wife Issa; his children William R. (Holly) Barnes, Debra (John) Gibbs, Rod (Kelly) Villarreal, Melissa(Marshall)Gurd;12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and his loving dog, Runt Barnes who remained by his side till his death. Bill was preceded in death by his parents William and Lillian Barnes.

Bill amassed many friends thru his archery club and his music endeavors that were very special to him. In Bill style he remained able to charm us with his wit till his very last hours. His ability to be a tremendous story teller and gentle teacher will be greatly missed.

A memorial service for Bill Barnes will be held October 26, 2015 at Demmer Shooting Sports Education and Training Center 4830 E. Jolly Road Lansing, Michigan at 6pm. For those desiring, contributions may be made to the family in care of Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912.
