1910 February 1, Tuesday, “Fort Scott Daily Tribune and Monitor,” page 4
-Angemima Marrow was born in Miami county, Indiana August 12th, 1838. At the age of 18 years she was married to Jacob Lesher of that place. To this union were born nine children, seven sons and two daughters, viz: David and Charles, of this city; Omer, of Santa Maria, Calif.; Oscar Lesher and Mrs. J. P. Karleskint, of Iola, Kans. Her husband and four children proceded [sic] her to the great beyond several years ago. She also left two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Woods, and Mrs. Jacob Judy of this city, and twenty-five grand children, three great grand children and a host of friends, to mourn their loss.
-In 1871 Mrs. Lesher, together with her husband and children, came to Fort Scott, where she made her home continuously since until last October when she went to live with her son, Oscar, where she resided at the time of her death. She departed this life January 26, 1910, being 72 years, 5 months and 14 days of age at the time of her death.
-A short funeral service was held at her home in Iola, after which the remains were brought to Fort Scott, where Rev. W. Y. Allen conducted the service at the First Christian church, of which she had been a devoted member for a number of years. A large number of friends and relatives followed the remains to their last resting place at the Clarksburg cemetery.
-A precious one from us has gone, A voice we love is still, A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled. A FRIEND.
