Sullivan Daily Times Obituary. Nov. 13, 1944

Benjamin Hobbs, 82 years old, died at his home here at 4:20 o'clock Sunday morning.

Surviving are six sons, Nolan, William and Orvill, of Muncie; Earl of New Lebanon; and Benton and Ray of Oaktown; three daughters, Hatty Keller of Arkansas; Dora Wilson of New Lebanon, and Texie Walker of Oaktown; three brothers, Thomas of Lawrenceville, Ill. John of Newport, Ark., and William of Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Bennett of Sullivan.

The body was taken to the Newkirk Funeral Home and was returned to the home of his son, Ray, at whose home he died, yesterday evening. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Rose Chapel Church. Burial will be made in the Webb Cemetery.
