[Louis C. Satterfield, a farmer by occupation and s/o John & Rachel (Blevens) Satterfield, was married to Malinda E. (Hibler) Satterfield with whom he had 9 children, Mamie, Carrie, Charles, Roanna, Mattie, Walter, Ida, Ollie and Eva Satterfield.]
Brother Satterfield was loved by all who knew him. He talked much about the future home and his preparations for it. He waited anxiously for the time when God should see fit to relieve his sufferings and take him to his Eternal Home. He was one of those true Christians who met death with a smile. His only regret was leaving family, relatives and friends, but he could say like one of old, I have fought a good fight, finished my course, kept the faith and there is a crown laid up for me and for all who trust the Lord. We all hope to join in a family reunion of the blood washed and saved, when that eternal sunshine and peace reigns forevermore.
