Virgil Moore Killed - Tuesday between 3 or 4 o'clock Virgil Moore was almost instantly killed by being thrown from a horse, on the road near Mrs. Willard Wiley's mail box, near Hickory Grove, in the north part of Henry county. Virgil, his brother, Earle, Lemon Crooks and Cecil Holliday had been swimming and were on their way home. Virgil was riding a fractious bronco that had been skittish all afternoon, when suddenly he tucked his head and threw the lad without warning. He breathed just about 15 minutes, dying before Dr. Hampton arrived. The coroner was called, but it was not necessary to go. Virgil was born at Blackburn, Okla. 15 years ago January 20th last and came back to Missouri at the age of two, living in the same neighborhood ever since. He is survived by his parents, C. W. Moore and wife, who live 15 miles north of Clinton, near Hickory Grove church; two brothers, Earl and Roy; two sisters Mrs. Ginlia Landon, Leeton, and Lucile at home. His parents and loved ones have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hickory Grove church by Rev. Scott. Interment in the cemetery nearby.
