My mother, Peggy Prescott Rutland, was raised by Vernon and his wife Martha. They are who I refer to as my grandparents. I have many childhood memories of going to Orlando to visit Nana & Papa.

VERNON FRANCIS PRESCOTT, 74, 34th Street, Orlando, died Friday, June 4. Mr. Prescott was owner and operator of a heating and air conditioning company. Born in Durham, N.H., he moved to Central Florida in 1921. A member of Christ Community Church, Goldenrod Road, he also belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4287, Hearts Start, Old Timers Athletic League and the Orange County Oldtimers Association. He was an Army veteran. Survivors: wife, Martha; brother, Gordon, Wausau. Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, Orlando.
