United Airlines Flight 629 actually crashed in far western Weld County, not far from the border with Boulder County, in farm country--in a beet field, I think. Longmont was the closest larger city and thus was often named in the media as the crash site.

Jacqueline Hinds, of Eugene, Oregon, had been a flight attendant for United Airlines for 4½ years and was the senior attendant on UA Flight 629 from Denver to Seattle. Miss Hinds and 43 other passengers and crew were killed by a mid-air bomb explosion in Cargo Hold 4 of the aircraft.
Jacqueline is the daughter of Jackson Benjamin Hinds and Agnes Mary Holbrook. She was a graduate of University High and the University of Oregon.
