Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. His true name was William H. Meyers. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and entered the Union Army at Baltimore, Maryland. He served as a Private in Company A, 1st Maryland Calvary. He was awarded the CMOH for action on April 9, 1865 at Appomattox Courthouse, Virginia. His citation reads "Gallantry in action; was five times wounded."
