Pro football player. After graduating from the University of Arkansas, the Chicago Cardinals took Clarence Lamar McHan as their first pick in the 1954 NFL draft. He was a quarterback and punter for the Cardinals from 1954 to 1958. He played for the Green Bay Packers in 1959 and 1960. From 1961 to 1963 he played for the Baltimore Colts and finished up his ten-year NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers in 1963. During those ten years, he threw 9449 total yards passing and 73 touchdowns in 113 games. He also ran for 12 touchdowns. After his playing days ended he was a quarterbacks and receivers coach for ten years with the New Orleans Saints. He followed that by working in real estate and property management. He died of a heart attack.
