DALHART - Rita Skelton, 89, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church in Dalhart with Bob McAlister and Clifford Dane, retired minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home.
Mrs. Skelton was born June 27, 1921, in Custer County, Okla., to Frank and Erma McFall Phillips. She married Bill Skelton on Dec. 3, 1949, in Santa Fe, N.M.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Skelton of Huffman and Jay Skelton of Houston; two daughters, Bonnie Crawford of Benton, Kan., and Becky Crumpton of Amarillo; numerous grandchildren; and three sisters, Esther Bookout of Harlingen, Fran Russell of Greeley, Colo., and Joan Schumann of Bay City.
The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 1000 E. 16th St., Dalhart, TX 79022.
