Private, Battery F, 52nd FA, 18th Division. Son of James N and Virginia McColm. Entered the service May 23, 1918; to Camp Travis, TX; in the service 268 days; discharged February 15, 1919.

In 1940 was working as a farm hand.

KNOXVILLE - Elton R. "Mac" McColm, 91, 407 N. Hebard St., Knoxville, died Saturday at 1:30 PM in Good Samaritan Home, Knoxville.
He was born in Plymouth, WI, August 29, 1889.
Surviving are several nieces, including Mrs. Dorothy LaFollette of Galesburg and Mrs. Marian Taylor of Knoxville.
He was reared and educated in Wisconsin. He lived in the Knoxville area for the past 25 years and worked as a laborer. He was a US Army veteran of World War I.
Gravesite service will be Tuesday at 10:30 AM in Knoxville Cemetery. Rev. Milton Marquith officiating. There will be no visitation.
Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home, Knoxville, is in charge of arrangements.
