Mrs. Sally Jenks,aged 75,who died on Wednesday evening at her home in Punxsutawney,was born near Marchand and was the daughter of George Hennigh and Evelyn [sic] nee Smitten Hennigh;as reported by her daughter ,Mrs. Olive Brown of Punxsutawney.
She attended the Covode Academy and later taught school in the northern section of [Indiana] this county. She was married to John Gray Jenks in 1877 when the home was established in Punxsutawney.
She was held in high regard and was identified with many worthwhile community endeavors.
The children surviving are:
Eugene Jenks of town;
Mrs. Olive Brown of Punxsutawney;
Mrs.Edwin McKay of Charleroi;
and P.W. Jenks of Pisgah,North Carolina.
