Jack served as a Staff Sergeant, 331st Bomber Squadron, 94th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Prince George's County, Maryland prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on August 26, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was noted as being employed in the manufacture of paper and pulp and also as Single, without dependents.

Jack was "Killed In Action" during the war and was awarded the Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Purple Heart.
