Obituary: Died at his residence, eight miles east of this place (Robeline?) at 5 o'clock A. M., on Wednesday, April 13, 1887 of pneumonia, Mr. Andrew J. Templeton; aged 46 years, 7 months and 14 days.
Mr. Templeton was a native of Georgia. At an early age he joined the Baptist Church, and soon there after was ordained a deacon, serving the Master and Church as such, until his death. A christian gentleman, a kind neighbor, a worthy citizen, a devoted husband, a kind and affectionate father. He leaves a faithful christian wife and three children and many friends to morn his irreparable loss. Mr. Templeton has been troubled with asthma, he suffered from it severely at times, and life he said, to his physician, was a burden, and he anxiously awaited the Master's will, to pass to the unknown beyond.
Our whole community deeply sympathize with the bereaved ones. He was buried in the cemetery at this place on Thursday, there to rest until the grave shall "give up their dead".
"Blessed are they who die in the Lord."
