Marlene Joan Lambie, age 73, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Thursday morning, February 22, 2007 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born November 1, 1933 in Fargo, North Dakota, the daughter of the late Claremont and Bertha Lian Lybeck. Marlene lived in Grand Forks, North Dakota for 18 years and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School. She was united in marriage to Rodger William Lambie on August 22, 1954 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and then moved to Kansas City in 1957. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Kansas City for 38 years and after moving to the Lake of the Ozarks changed her membership to Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach. She was also a charter member of the P.E.O. Chapter G.W. She enjoyed skiing, boating, gardening, and especially cooking and trying new recipes, most of all sweets. She loved to read and collect inspirational sayings and poems and always liked to do handwork embroidery counted cross stitch. She also loved to travel and was an avid photographer. Her life was devoted to her husband, children, and was the proud grandmother of her loving grandchildren. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and spending special one on one time with them baking, going to the lake, shopping, or just talking. Her main concern was making a happy loving life for her husband and bringing up children in a happy loving Christian home. She is survived by her husband Rodger Lambie of the home; one son, Jim Lambie and wife Diane, of Bucyrus, Kansas; three daughters, Barb Wismer and husband Chuck, of Overland Park, Kansas, Shari Rawie and husband Dennis, of Stilwell, Kansas, Sandie Spencer and husband Rick of Eleva, Wisconsin; one brother Doug Lybeck of Fargo, North Dakota; one sister Sue Solberg of Juneau, Alaska; uncle Bud Lian of Fargo, North Dakota; eleven grandchildren, Stephen, Jenny, Kristen, Michael, Chad, Lauren, Allie, Megan, Mindy, Amanda, and Kyle, many other relatives and friends. A celebration of life memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach with Pastor Dave Beese officiating. Inurnment will be in the Carol and Gene Gerschefske Columbarium at Kent Memorial Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Church.
