Passed away Thursday evening at his home. Age 71 years. He was born April 22, 1889, in Buckley, Wash., coming to Saginaw County at the age of five years and residing in Kochville Township since that time. On Jan. 20, 1913, he married Stella Conlay. She survives him. He had been engaged in farming and the livestock business all of his life. The deceased was a member of St. Matthew's Church, Zilwaukee. Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters and one son, Mrs. Elmer Davis, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mrs. Otto Scharich (Helen Reisig) and Joseph Griffore, both of Saginaw; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Thomas Griffore, Mrs. Roy Dupraw, Mrs. Edward Bourdow, all of Saginaw. Funeral service will take place at 8:15 a.m. Monday at the Case Chapel, 9 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church, Zilwaukee. Msgr. Eugene Forbes will officiate. Friends may call at the chapel after 6 p.m. Saturday, where they will meet with relatives at 8 p.m. Sunday to say the Rosary.
