Dennis, 74, Lima, died at 10:25 p.m., at Van Crest Nursing Home.

He was the son of Glen and Margaret (Powell) Vandemark. On Sep 24, 1960, he married Emma Jane Ruff, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are two sons: Mark (Michelle) and Todd (Pam), both Lima; two brothers: Bud (Betty) and Gary (Sherran); two sisters: Earlene (Ray) Keirns and Mary (Tom) Williams; four grandchildren: Angela (Craig) Katafiasz and Justin (Kayla Helmig) Keaton and Logan Vandemark; and a great-grandson, Barrett Katafiasz.

He was a member and a deacon at South Side Christian Church. He worked for 40 years at Campnell Pest Control before retiring in 1996. He volunteered a lot of his time at St. Rita's Medical Center. His hobbies were going to auctions where he bought furniture to restore and spending time with his dogs BJ and Brutus. He was a loving husband, father, grand father, great grandfather, brother and Uncle. He will be deeply missed.

Services will be at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel, with Pastor Wanda Werking officiating.
