CARY H. COOKMAN EXPIRES TUESDAY

Cary H. Cookman, age 55, residing at 525 Pendleton Avenue, lifelong resident of Anderson and Madison County, died at 8:45pm Tuesday at his home following a brief illness of heart trouble. He was a foreman at the Buckeye Manufacturing Company for twenty years and in recent years had been an employee of the Lynch Glass Machine Corporation.

He was a son of Minter Cookman and was born near Anderson. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge, No. 77, Free and Accepted Masons, and was widely known in the city.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eathel Cookman, a daughter, Mrs. Archie Brown, Anderson, two sons Harry Cookman; Anderson and Ralph Cookman, Elkton, Fla.; a step-daughter Ruth Cookman of this city, and six brothers, Frank, Hubert, Clem, Ray and Lester Cookman, all of this city, and John Cookman of Emporia.

The body was removed to the Howard Brown funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2pm at the family home and burial will be in Maplewood.
