Olympic Athlete. At age 15 she became Germany's youngest Winter Olympics champion. In the 1936 Winter Games in Bavaria, she and Ernst Baier won the Gold Medal for pairs figure skating. After the Olympics they won the European and World Championships three years in a row before turning professional in 1941. They later married and formed an ice revue, the "Berliner Eisrevue", which toured the world. In the 1950s she concentrated on raising their children and became a skating teacher in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. She died of Parkinson's disease. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
