CADIZ, Ky. — Marie A. Morris, 87, Cadiz, died at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at Parkview Nursing Home, Paducah, of natural causes.
Services were Sunday afternoon at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Norman Ellis officiating. Burial was in East End Cemetery.
A native of Cadiz, she was born Feb. 2, 1913, the daughter of the late Henry Minton and Kate Thompson Atwood. She was a retired employee for the Agriculture Stabilization Conservation Service was a member of the Quilters Guild, the Trigg County Homemakers and was a Baptist. Her husband, Douglas C. Morris, died in 1986.
Survivors include a son, Douglas T. Morris, St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Bob (Jean) Gross, Paducah; and three grandchildren.
